Race Information

The Rumpshaker 5K is the largest free standing 5K in Alabama and we have had the privilege of hosting over 30,000 participants since 2009.  We have raised over a million dollars over the past 12 years while promoting awareness about colorectal cancer.

This event is a fun, family friendly experience; runners and walkers of all ages are welcome.  Together we can make a difference by bringing attention to colorectal cancer, a preventable, treatable and beatable disease.

Please note, your health and safety is our top priority. For this reason we will follow all COVID-19 protocols in place at the the time of the In-Person Rumpshaker 5K. This includes, but may not be limited to, social distancing and masks requirements.

• Option to achieve digital milestone "badges"

This year there will be no team discount for the in person only event due to the limited number of participants. The $5 team discount is still available for the Virtual 5K and both the 100 and 200 Mile Challenges (teams of 5 participants or more). We encourage you to take advantage of one of the new categories if you or your team members are not comfortable with the in person event. NOTE: Teams can be any combination of Virtual 5K, 100 Mile Challenge and 200 Mile Challenge participants. ​

PACKET PICK-UP DETAILS
Packet pick-up will be at Fleet Feet Sports March 22nd thru March 26th 11am-7pm. Fleet Feet is located at 3060 Healthy Way, Suite 100, Birmingham, AL 35243. You may also request to have your packet shipped directly to you, shipping fees apply. This option can be selected at the time of registration.  ​

Support Rumpshaker by becoming a fundraiser using RunSignUp! Simply create a RunSignUp Fundraising page, raise $250+ and get a $25 rebate on your Rumpshaker registration. Rebate applied to the card used at checkout. This offer is available for all 5 race options, including the in person 5K.
One $25 fundraising rebate per participant. Must use the RunSignUp Fundraising page to collect donations. ​

5 for $10 - Refer 5 friends get $10 rebate 
At registration you will receive a referral link to share with family and friends. Once 5 people register using your link you will automatically get a $10 rebate on your Rumpshaker registration. Rebate applied to the card used at checkout. The 5 for $10 referral is available for all 5 race options, including the in person 5K. 
One $10 referral rebate per participant. Offer available for each participant who refers 5 friends whether that person is an individual or on a team. Referral link must be used for the rebate to apply.
