Guidelines for Assembling a Team 
A Team is a group of 5 or more individuals with 1 individual being named Team Captain.  Team members can consist of family, friends, co-workers, classmates, athletes or anyone else you can recruit.  Team members can be any combination of runners, walkers and/or kids.  Each team must have a Team Name and an assigned Team Captain.

Team Captains must create the team online at imathlete.comPlease allow a 24 hour period for the team to appear in the drop down box online.  Once available, team members may register online (open now) or by paper mail in application (after Jan 1st).   Team Captains please see additional information below under Additional Team Captain Information.

Registration Process (on line and paper applications) And Deadlines (including costs)
$20/Runner – Until March 12, 2010 (registration fee is per participant)
* All Team registrations must be turned in by March 12th.
* No Team Changes after March 12th

* Team of 5 or more p
articipants who register as an individual and later opt to join a team may do so up until the team registration deadline of March 12, 2010Please note, we are unable to refund the difference in registration fees.  After March 12, 2010 NO changes to teams will be possible. 

Packet Pick Up Process 
*If you register online, please bring a copy of your confirmation sheet with you to pick up your packet  
*Each team member will be responsible for picking up their own race packet during packet pick-up UNLESS they arrange with the teams coordinator for their team captain to pick up their packets.  If you wish for the team captain to pick up packets, you must do the following: 

TEAM MEMBER:
Click here to send an email with your name, your team name, your team captain name and the date it will be picked up during packet pick up week (arrange this with your team captain). 

TEAM CAPTAIN:
Bring a list of all team members for whom you are picking up packets to Fleet Feet with you. 

Team Awards
You are encouraged to make your team stand out, so have fun and be creative while supporting a great cause.  In the spirit of friendly competition, Team Awards will be given in 6 categories as follows:

Most Spirit

Create your own T-shirts, dress up, make signs but most importantly BE CREATIVE!  Spirit judges will observe teams on race morning, whoever shows the most creative and spirit filled enthusiasm for raising awareness for this great cause will be rewarded.

Most Funds Raised (per team member)
Both online and offline donations will be considered.  We encourage teams to create a personalized team web page - Click here to get started!  Be sure to email your friends and family for support.  

Most Participants on a Team

Want to be the largest team?  Ask as many people as you like to join your team, there is no maximum (remember a team is a minimum of 5 individuals).  The team with the largest number of registered members on March 12th will take the prize in this category.

Fastest Team (male, female and co-ed)

Got Speed? Lace up those shoes, stretch those muscles and get your race face ready.  Grab your running buddies to see if your team has what it takes.  Remember the team that has the fastest average finishing time wins bragging rights for being the FASTEST Rumpshakers in town!!!  
The Average of top three chip timed team members will be used to determine winners for these categories.

Team photos will be taken race morning - Appointments are not required.

Additional Team Captain Information
Be a leader, be a team captain!  The role of Team Captain is very important in recruiting and organizing a team.  Listed below is an outline of the roles and responsibilities of the Team Captain:

* Recruit, organize, and build your team
* Establish a team name 
* Communicate to potential team members directions on how to register online or via paper entry. 
  
Remind them to include team name and team captain when registering in order to associate them to
   your team
* Assure a minimum of 5 individuals have registered under your team name
* Determine whether or not you and your team will raise funds, if so set goals and work together to reach
   those goals (there is no minimum fundraising requirement)
* GET CREATIVE!
* Communicate reminders about the race 
* Participate in the 2010 race!
